Planned System Maintenance
From 5.30pm Friday 11th September – 2.00pm Monday 14th September
From 5.30pm Friday 11th September – 2pm Monday 14th September we will have no access to our patient management system at Invercargill Medical Centre and you will not have access to Manage My Health.
We are anticipating Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning being extremely busy while we catch up. If you can wait to contact us or if you can use Manage My Health once this is operational again from 2.00pm Monday 14th September we would appreciate it.
Please be respectful and tolerant with our team while we work for and prioritise all our patients.
Why is this happening?
We need to do some work on our systems across both our Invercargill medical centres.
What is impacted?
• We will not be able to book appointments. If you need to book an appointment; we request that you phone us on Tuesday morning or book via Manage My Health after 2pm Monday 14th September.
• We will have no access to your patient information, this includes consultation notes, medical history, prescriptions, anything related to your interactions with us as your provider of medical care.
• If you have an appointment there will be a delay in being able to view your health records and test results via Manage My Health.
• If you need to cancel a future appointment, please phone after 2.00pm Monday or Tuesday. Please note we do require 2 hour’s notice if you wish to cancel.
What if I need to see someone urgently on Monday?
We will have staff available to answer your call, or see you and triage you during this time.
In addition:
- If you have a medical emergency, please dial 111
- Healthline is available 24/7 for free health advice on 0800 611 116
- Practice Plus is available for virtual GP appointments. Go to practiceplus.nz
- Invercargill After Hours Service Te Hau or Te Ora is available from 12 noon
Can I order my prescriptions?
• You can continue to phone us, press 1 for our prescription line and leave a message with your prescription request. Please note urgent requests will take 48 hours to action.
• Manage My Health will be up and running again from 2.00pm Monday 14th for repeat prescriptions.
• Regular prescription requests take 3-5 working days to be processed.
I am waiting on urgent test results, what will happen with these?
• There could be a delay in being able to view these in Manage My Health. Once your results have been reviewed, they will be available for you to view in Manage My Health, and you will receive a message to say they are available, if you are registered to use our patient portal.
• There may be a delay in your results being viewed by us. Our practice policy is that either a GP, Nurse Practitioner or a Nurse will only phone you if you have abnormal results or results from tests that require a change to your health management. You will not be contacted if your results are in normal range and do not require any changes as a result.
Can I still register for Manage My Health during this time?
There will be no access to Manage My Health during this time. The website and app will be available to you again from 2.00pm Monday 14th September.
Can I still come into the Medical Centre?
Our doors will remain open and we will have staff available to see you.
